Mio Skincare Review + Recent Beauty Favorites

I don't usually do too many beauty posts, but lately I have been on the hunt for great new skincare and makeup products. I found myself unhappy with my daily routine and having to spend way too long trying to perfect my makeup and then being unhappy with the result. I'm happy to say I've FINALLY found products that work amazingly, and I of course couldn't wait to share!

Up first, Mio Skincare! When Mio reached out to me to ask if I would review their products I thought, perfect timing! I had been scouring the internet, Googling things like "best skincare products" with little luck, so I was happy to try out Mio... especially since I had already read and heard so many great things about their products!

Here's a quick break-down of the products!

The A Cream- I loved each product, but I have to say this this one was my favorite! It's specifically for moisturizing, firming and strengthening skin. Major pros on this one is that it's not greasy at all, it doesn't have a strong scent; just a nice, subtle one, and I've already noticed it having a positive effect on my skin!  I have keratosis on the backs of my arms- basically my skin produces too much keratin there, creating redness and bumps- and whenever my skin is dry, it flares up. I've tried all kinds of different creams and moisturizers and I'm happy to say this is the only one that has made a noticeable difference!

Mio Body Brush- I just love this body brush. I am all about exfoliating, but have never found a product that really does the trick. This one you can use wet or dry, and it does miracles. My skin feels so soft after using it at the end of my shower, and then my skin feels even better after applying the A Cream!

Liquid Yoga Bath Soak- You know how relaxed you feel after the end of a great yoga workout? This bath soak somehow bottles that experience, and it's just wow. It smells amazing, and according to Mio's site... "Enriched with a blend of essential oils, mineral salts and herbs, the bath soak helps calm racing minds whilst its deeply nourishing properties are harnessed from omega-rich murumuru butter."

Liquid Yoga Room Spray- Don't have time for a long bath? Just spray this Liquid Yoga Room Spray, and feel the stress of your day melt away. For double the stress relief, I spray this before I get in the shower, or before a bath with the Liquid Yoga Bath Soak!

Now for some new beauty favorites! It has been a serious s-t-r-u-g-g-l-e finding great products that work for me. I have dry skin and prefer a full coverage, but always want a natural look. The problem with full coverage foundation is usually that it's either a matte formula, or claims to be moisturizing but clings to every dry spot and cakes in every crease.

I had previously been using Clinique's Beyond Perfecting foundation, and liked it enough, but struggled using it for my daily routine. If I spent long enough meticulously applying it, making sure I didn't apply too much- resulting in a cakey look, or too little- resulting in a thin, streaky look, it would look pretty good.

Finally I discovered It Cosmetics 'Your Skin But Better' CC cream. You guys, it is SO good! It gives you full coverage, applies easily and smoothly, doesn't sink into creases or lines, and moisturizes all at the same time.

It goes on easily with a beauty blender (I use Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge), or with a brush, which is my prefered method. I had a cheap one from Target and the foundation still looked great when applied, but when I tried it with Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.. wow. What a difference! The brush applies the foundation smoothly, evenly, effortlessly, ect. ect..

Recommended with the foundation is It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe brush, but I have to say that this one is a great dupe! Also another new It Cosmetics favorite, their Bye Bye Pores pressed powder! I apply this after my makeup, and it gives such an amazing, smooth, finished look.

Here's a quick breakdown of my daily makeup routine, all products I'm obsessed with and highly recommend!

7. Maybelline The Collossal Volum' Express Mascara (I've tried so many and this is time and time again my favorite!)

*Mio Skincare provided me with their products in exchange for my honest review.
As always, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
