Simple and Chic - All Dressed Up

Simple and Chic

I love when a simple look can make such a statement. A look that can be effortless, simple and chic all at the same time is the kind of look I strive for when putting pieces together.

So let me break this outfit down for you a bit...

1) Simple White Tank- This tank is old, so I have linked two super similar under $20 options from Nordstom below! What I love about this style and fit is that it's long a loose. It goes great layered and with a pair of leggings, or solo with a great pair of jeans. I love to keep things simple, and a plain, white, great fitting tank is the perfect piece to achieve that.

2) High Waisted Skinny Jeans- If you can't tell, I love these jeans. They're high waisted which I love, just the right amount of distressed, and a great color for summer denim.

3) Pointed Toe Flats- oh these flats. I have always been obsessed with Sam Edelman and his genius shoe designs, but never got ahold of the perfect pair at a perfect price...That is until I found these beauties on clearance at Saks Off Fifth. What I love about Sam Edelman's shoes is that so many of his designs feature a sling back. Let me tell ya, my love for flats is strong but it becomes an abusive situation when they destroy my feet while trying to break them in. The first day I wore these, my feet could not have been more comfortable (or chic).

4) Accessories- My favorite thing to do with a simple look is to accessorize. With this look, in an effort to keep things interesting I played around with mixing metals and loved the end result! I am not one of those people that cares about getting caught up in "fashion rules". "don't match your bag with your shoes","don't mix prints", "don't mix metals", "black and brown clash".... Fashion to me is all about being able to be creative and go outside of the box. What I wish I hadn't accessorized is the pony tail holder I accidentally left on my wrist but oh well.

What I also love about a look like this, is that it's perfect for transitioning from Summer to Fall! The color of the denim and the tank are keeping things cool while trading out sandals for flats is making this look one cardigan away from become the perfect fall ensemble.

I have all items (identical or similar) linked below!
